Private Sessions
Private training sessions are individualized with you, the dog, your family and the instructor. Private sessions are ideal for everyday issues such as better manners (stop jumping up, door dashing/crowding, nipping, greetings, begging, etc.), behavioral issues (dominance problems, guarding, other "bossy behaviors, aggressive displays, etc.) as well as high level attention to obedience (heeling, stays, coming when called, etc.) Private sessions are especially useful when the client needs the information tailored more personally (for instance, when involving children or for those that prefer to address issues at their own pace or in their order of preference).
While many of these issues are covered in group classes, the level of individual attention can dramatically affect results (we can demonstrate techniques to prevent jumping in class, but we can actually have Grandma visit during a private session to be sure the techniques are being used correctly) |

Packages
While there are many trainers that will do a single session, it is our experience that it tends to take the humans at least 3 sessions to process the techniques well. Most mistakes happen between the first and second session, and we believe it would be a huge disservice to you and your dog to let you train something ineffectively when a simple reminder or modification is often all that is needed at the next session. After the initial session, we often hear it seems like a "miracle cure", but we know that reinforeinforcement is needed to keep the learning strong to prevent frustration later. Therefore, we offer a MINIMUM of three sessions, unless you have already trained with us (private or group - or enroll in future group classes).
-
"A la Carte" - for clients enrolled in groups (past, present or future) or with past ABC training.
-
Three session packages - ideal for behavioral help or working on a few issues. Will not be adequate time to fully cover coming when called.
-
Six session packages - Full training, allows maximum time to cover all aspects of basic obedience and more. Six session packages are perfect to "proof" your new skills in the real world.
Packages include training materials (except specialized collars and treats), leash, and chew and may be at home/out in the real world or "in studio" (at our facility) or a combination of these options. Sessions range from 60-90 minutes (usually the first is the longest).
