Corona Virus/Covid-19 Update Page8/2/21 Wow, the last update to this page was 7/20 and weren't we all filled with hope? The world has again changed, so here we go rolling with it. In short: masks are back for now. Newest comments will be in green. Class sizes: staying limited for social distancing, but we will try to keep no more than 4-5 dogs per new classes. Still 1-2 handlers per dog. Masks: Even fully vaccinated people must wear masks again for now (hope to discontinue masking again as things change, will be at instructor's discretion). Classes Offered: Beginner and Puppy Kindergarten still available with the entire year of start dates posted at abcobedience.com. Events/Workshops, additional classes like obstacle, CGC, Beginner II and more! See the events/workshops link from the website or click here. Please call to register. Private sessions: Private sessions can be held at ABC Obedience (just you and your dog with instructor) or off-site, including in your home or outdoors locations. Also available by video chat. Please note there is a minimum number of sessions required unless currently attending groups or have completed basic training recently with us. Phone consultations can also be scheduled for behavior issues with Jill or Robi by appointment. The fee will be $30 for 25 minutes or $50 for 45 minutes. Store hours: Curbside supply service. Feel free to call and ask us to put together your supplies for you. Just let us know when you are here during store hours Sundays and Thursdays and we can bring them to the car.. You are also welcome to come into the store to shop, please wear masks . _________________________________________________________________________ ** Nail Clipping first Sunday of the month will be held! NOTE: It seems no matter how early we arrive, there are always people waiting. We appreciate how good everyone is about telling us the order and being honest. Starting in September 2021 we plan to try leaving the numbers by the front door and you can come get them as you arrive (it helps to see them in the windshields). Thanks for your patience, we really appreciate it! Remember some cars have 2 or 3 dogs to cut, we are doing the best we can. Still $10 per dog, 11 am to 1 pm. WE are returning to the protocol of coming to get your dog from you individually at your car. STAY IN CAR/WAIT TO ENTER THE STORE. Either we will give you the ok to wait inside (not likely right now) OR Jill or Carmine will meet you at your car. Usually we then have you put our disinfected chain collar and leash over your dog's neck. Then we will ask you to unclip your own collar and leash. We will take your dog into the building, you will be able to see through the window. For some dogs, being able to see you will increase anxiety, /so for many it will be best to stay in the car or at least away from the window during the nail clipping. PLEASE HAVE EXACT CHANGE! It will minimize the time and amount of people who need to come in. Even more than usual, tips are appreciated! If you prefer an individual nail clipping session, Jill can schedule dogs in 10 minute increments. $20, cash only (2 dogs, $30). There won't be an assistant available, so only for dogs that don't require extra handling help. Please call her directly or the office 203-458-2223. Same day appointments on Sunday not available so please plan ahead. _________________________________________________________________________ Safety protocols for classes still in place: As mentioned before, the room will continue to be sanitized. Please take your temperature at home before you come. Anyone with any symptoms of any kind of illness should stay home and in fact will be asked to leave. In addition, we will limit class size to allow for better social distancing. Soap and water are available in the restroom. Hand sanitizer on the tables at door and by cash register.
Stay safe, play with your dogs.
